Construction of the new school building is completed

Countless children live in the slums (called favelas) of Brazil. Poverty, malnutrition, disease and crime are part of the daily life of the poorest of the poor.

The chances of a regular life with a future are extremely slim, especially here. Even in early childhood, the youngest children are sent down the loser road of life through malnutrition and lack of education.

Many of the children are plagued by illnesses, and there is usually no money for school or education. There is hardly any escape from this vicious circle.
